When to use it
Make a scan easier to search and copy. A photographed letter or scanned form may look readable while containing no selectable text.
What you get
The tool reads visible words and adds a text layer to a new PDF while keeping the scanned page image. The result can be searched where recognition succeeds.
Before sharing
Check names, dates, amounts and similar characters against the image. OCR can misread faint print, handwriting and crowded layouts; its output is not a verified transcription.
Private processing
Thumbnails and edits are created in the browser. Documents are not uploaded to PDFAdjust.
